A North Carolina native, Mack was born in Sylva on March 26, 1950. He has practiced law in North Carolina since 1975, and in Cherokee County and surrounding counties since 1978. 

Mack received his Associate of Arts degree with honors at Wingate College in 1970. He then went on to study at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1972 and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Mack earned a Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1975, where he graduated Cum Laude. He has also served as Town Attorney for the Town of Murphy, North Carolina since 1978.

David E. Cowan

Also a native of North Carolina, David was born in Pinehurst on October 13, 1976. He has been practicing law in North Carolina since 2002, and in Cherokee County and surrounding counties since 2003. 

David graduated from Murphy High School in 1995. He then went to college at Western Carolina University where he graduated Cum Laude in 1999,  earning a Bachelor of Business degree in Business Administration.  David went on to study law at the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree in 2002.
